As we posted not long ago, News Corp. was going to build their own exchange, and finally looks like Rubicon got a very interesting partnership going on.
Rubicon Project has grown exponentially over the past 6-12 months, and it has been a fantastic ride. We are thrilled to continue this growth through our new partnership with News Corp, whose global reach and brand recognition take us one step closer to our mission of automating the buying and selling of advertising. We are looking forward to the tremendous value this new relationship will bring to our business and yours. From our team to yours, here’s to an exciting and collaborative rest of 2013!
Some of the top sites that will be included within their global exchange are ABC News and Good Morning America. Here are some stats:
- ABC News: It has a reach of 25 million unique users and generates over 170 million page views per month. When it comes to audience, about 55% of users are between 25-54, while 51% have a household income of $75k+. They count with IAB standard and Rising Star ad units.
- Good Morning America: As some of you might know, Good Morning America is the #1 early morning show in the U.S. for 52 consecutive weeks, beating Today for the longest stretch in 21 years. Reach over 24 million monthly unique visitors, with over 114 million page views, with Good Morning America!
In order for Rubicon to support News Corp. performance and scale, they will use their own software, data and hardware, including RubiCube (a real-time cloud custom engineered by themselves) which consists in a single SeaMicro SM15000.
This new partnership will not only definitely boost Rubicon’s weight on the SSP world, but also contribute to a more competitive market through RTB technologies.
