The days for the FIFA World Cup are counted. Companies are already seeking for places where to advertise their brands, knowing that such a massive event will of course be an opportunity to attract new clients as well as having plenty of reach (with of course a very targeted audience). It is because of this that Batanga Media started to work a couple of months ago in a new sports vertical with the intention to give agencies and clients a place where to find the right audience.
Batanga counts with over 1000 sport sites in Latin America and it becomes a must for the sport related advertisers. With these many sites, they reached an approximate of 1 billion monthly impressions in this vertical, a very attactive amount in a very controlled environment.
“The main goal is to group as many sites as possible with the best possible quality for the advertisers, specially during the FIFA World Cup, but it is also extends in time and to all kind of sports. We will continue our job so we can keep improving our network with relevant sites and quality content” said Alejandro Rein, Batanga Media Supply & Demand Director for all the region.
Right now, the sports vertical supports standard IAB banners since the launch of it was before scheduled to gain a competitive advantage against other networks. Still, Rich media is being tested and it is expected to be launched in early 2014.
