It is no news that porn sites have the most traffic around the web. Around 30% of all internet traffic comes from porn sites, meaning that sites such as Pornhub bring 14.9 million monthly user to the table. Just to say, that is even more than Bloomberg and The Wall Street Journal combined.

Eat24, a California-based food delivery, wanted a big traffic source for little investment. Yes, porn was the answer, and what an answer!

They got plenty of late-night customers asking for their food at a 10% of the cost of non x-rated sites.

The company strategy was all about pairing sexually suggestive banners combined with some video landing pages. So, what about the users? Easy. Porn site users were the perfect customers for food delivery. This is what Eat24 states about this permanent solution to their advertising strategies:

Honestly, we should’ve seen this one coming. Some of our heaviest users and biggest fans on social media just happen to be porn stars. Like, actual real-life porn stars. Tera Patrick, Daisy Lynn, Andy San Dimas and Tara Lynn Foxx to name a few. It makes perfect sense when you think about it. They enjoy a life without pants and are constantly working up a huge appetite. Eat24 and porn stars are a match made in sexy heaven! They use us in just the way we like to be used, and we always leave them full and satisfied.

They might be (most likely) one of the major brands around that are non sex related that advertises on porn sites. It is a huge risk, however it looks like they pulled it out big time.
